Village Sage Herbals is restructuring. Thank you for your patience!
Village Sage Herbals is Emilie Patterson, Certified Clinical Herbalist and Women's Health Educator.
What began as a budding curiosity, a little girl pouring over her grandmother's natural health library, continued as an interest in plants and their potential as healers, nurturers, and builders. In 2012 this interest was spurred into action as family health problems prompted Emilie to look toward alternative healing practices. This led to several years of intensive study with the school Naturally Healthy (Calhoun, LA), ending in a certificate in Community Herbalism, Women's Health Education, and Clinical Herbalism.
Having discovered the wonder and power of herbalism, Village Sage Herbals' mission has become to help others discover the world of herbalism. Village Sage offers individual sized packets of herbs, blends, and educational kits so budding herbalists can empower themselves by being proactive in their families' care. Village Sage Herbals also offers workshops such as herbal discovery walks for adults and children, DIY tea blending and herbal remedy making. Emilie has also been a featured speaker at several local events, exploring topics such as using herbs and natural therapies to deal with stress, get more and better sleep, have a healthy pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and much more! One of the most important parts of being a clinical herbalist is the one on one help that Emilie provides to clients. Through a visit during which a detailed health history is taken, Emilie can put together a personalized health protocol with nutritional, lifestyle, herbal, and supplemental suggestions to improve a client's health.
Emilie is honored and humbled by everything she has learned and continues to learn from the world of plants. From the thrill of improving a client's health, to positive feedback about her soaps and salves, she is so very thankful to be on this journey.
